How to access the venue
Florence Airport is approximately 5km away from the hotel and is easily reachable with a special shuttle bus, which stops at Santa Maria Novella station, by taxi or a transfer arranged by the hotel’s concierge.
Line 2 of the tramway connects Florence Airport directly to Piazza dell’Unità Italiana. Travel time is approximately 20-30 minutes. More details
If you arrive at Pisa or Bologna airport, we recommend you to take a direct train to Santa Maria Novella station (approx. transportation time 1h-1h40).
If you arrive in Florence by car, you can park in the Hotel’s approved garage.
From Rome
Take the Firenze Sud exit off the motorway and head towards the centre. At the traffic light at the end of Lungarno del Tempio, head towards Piazza Beccaria, then along Viale Antonio Gramsci and Viale Giacomo Matteotti until you reach Piazza della Libertà. Take Via Lorenzo il Magnifico and, at the first traffic light, turn left onto Via Poliziano. Go straight down Via Santa Caterina to Santa Maria Novella station, passing through Piazza Indipendenza. After about two minutes, you will arrive in Piazza dell’Unità Italiana, where you will find the Grand Hotel Baglioni. Please contact the hotel concierge to inform them of your arrival.
From Milan
Take the Firenze Nord exit off the motorway and head towards the centre. Once you get to the end of Viale Francesco Redi, turn right and then left into Via Guido Monaco. Drive all the way to the end, then turn left onto Via Fratelli Rosselli. After the railway underpass, follow the ring road (marked ‘Circonvallazione’), going around the Fortezza da Basso and taking Viale Spartaco Lavagnini. At the first traffic light, turn right into Via Santa Caterina and continue until you reach the station, passing through Piazza Indipendenza: after about two minutes, you will arrive in Piazza dell’Unità Italiana, where you will find the Grand Hotel Baglioni. Please contact the hotel concierge to inform them of your arrival.
The Santa Maria Novella train station is only 350 metres from the Grand Hotel Baglioni.
The hotel can also be reached through the underpass that leads directly to Piazza dell’Unità Italiana from the station.
