Prof. Agustín Albillos
Agustín Albillos is Head of the Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Hospital Universitario Ramón y Cajal (IRYCIS Research Institute) in Madrid, Spain, Professor of Medicine at the University of Alcalá and current President of the Spanish Gastroenterology Association (SEPD). He is a clinical and translational researcher in Hepatology with special interest in cirrhosis complications and cirrhosis associated immune dysfunction.
Prof. Rafael Bañares
Rafael Bañares is Head of the Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Hospital General Universitario Gregorio Marañón (IiSGM Research Institute) in Madrid, Spain, Professor of Medicine at the University Complutense of Madrid, and Director of the CIBEREHD Research Excellence Network in Spain. He is a clinical and translational researcher in Hepatology with special interest in cirrhosis complications, ACLF and artificial liver support.
Prof. José Luis Calleja
José Luis Calleja is Head of the Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Hospital Universitario Puerta de Hierro Majadahonda (IiSPH Research Institute) in Madrid, and Professor of Medicine at the University Autónoma of Madrid, and current President of the Spanish Association for the Study of the Liver (AEEH). He is a clinical researcher in Hepatology with special interest in viral hepatitis and portal hypertension.
Dr. Rosa Martín-Mateos
Rosa Martín-Mateos is consultant at Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Hospital Universitario Ramón y Cajal (IRYCIS Research Institute) in Madrid, Spain. She has a master’s degree on Methodology and Statistics on Health Sciences (Universidad Autónoma, Barcelona) and on Hepatology (Universidad Alcalá-Autónoma Madrid). She is a clinical and translational researcher with special interests in cirrhosis, alcohol related liver disease and liver transplantation.
Prof. Javier Zamora
Javier Zamora is Head of Clinical Biostatistics at Hospital Universitario Ramón y Cajal (IRYCIS Research Institute) in Madrid, Spain, Professor of Biostatistics at the University of Birmingham, UK. Professor Birmingham, and Deputy Head of the Madrid Associate Cochrane Centre. His teaching activities focus on methodology for clinical primary research and for producing evidence syntheses to promote Evidence-Based Medicine.
