Description

It is our great pleasure to invite you to the Joint Canadian Digestive Diseases Week™ and Canadian Liver Meeting Conference 2023, taking place February 28 – March 5, 2023 in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

This year, the Conference will be a joint effort between the Canadian Association of Gastroenterology and the Canadian Association for the Study of the Liver, as well as their affiliates the Canadian Network on Hepatitis C, Canadian NASH Network, and Canadian Association of Hepatology Nurses. This means that attendees will be able to engage with content from two distinct conferences – CDDW™ and CLM – as well as exceptional Symposia and other programming at the same time and under a single roof. We’re also so excited about the numerous opportunities for delegates from across the GI and hepatology communities to come together for shared networking and social events as part of the collaborative Conference.

This newly re-imagined Joint CDDW™-CLM Conference 2023 will be the premiere meeting for all members of the Canadian gastroenterology and hepatology communities including trainees, nurses and researchers with an interest in liver and GI.

Posters and trainee involvement are the cornerstone to the meeting, providing the latest research in gastroenterology and hepatology from across Canada. The Conference will showcase more than 400 abstracts and three days of lectures on the latest advances in research, medicine, and technology. The Conference also provides an opportunity for professionals in the field to discuss the medical, technological, ethical, regulatory and legal issues facing the profession today.

The Canadian perspective on liver and gastrointestinal disease research is necessary to address clinical practice concerns unique to Canada’s demographics, geography, and epidemiological trends; this must include specific attention to priority populations including Indigenous peoples. Our program will provide this Canadian perspective on liver and gastroenterology, stressing our combined ongoing commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

Highlights of the 2023 Conference will include the high-profile plenary presentations, small group discussions, the return of hands-on sessions as well as the new Mentorship Café. As well, our newly branded Presidents’ Gala is a natural opportunity to enjoy an evening of networking, fun and entertainment.

Whether one works in patient care, research, education, administration, or the broader industry in general, our program offers something for everyone!
