Although these countries remain engaged in the organisation of the society, member countries have grown and now include several from South and Central America.

The 26th Congress of the Latin-American Association for the Study of the Liver (ALEH 2020) is taking place on 21-24 April 2021 online. The congress brings attendees the latest innovations in basic and clinical research on the study of the liver, its structure, and diseases. It provides a platform for high-level science and an opportunity to share knowledge on the care and management of patients with liver diseases.
