EASL MASLD Guidelines Academy - Module 5: Multidisciplinary management and the role of AHCP

MASLD management requires a multidisciplinary and multimodal approachIn particular, obesity management due to its multifaceted nature, metabolic derangements and potential multimorbidity requires teamwork that involves different health professionals from diverse fields, such as endocrinologists, dietitians, exercise physiologists, psychologists, internists, and bariatric surgeons to provide a holistic and individualized care. At the Clínica Universidad de Navarra (CUN) a long-standing and dedicated team offers a 360o deep dive in the patient journey of people living with obesity (PlwO), excess weight and/or diabetes.

Aims

  • Identify the relevance of detailed phenotyping in adiposity-based chronic disease. 
  • Empower AHCP with clinical skills and knowledge to navigate the peculiarities of the PlwO patient journey.  
  • Familiarise yourself with the multimodal management of these patients.
