The “Prix spécial francophone pour l’Etude de l’Hypertension Portale” was awarded to Prof. Moreau for his study of portal hypertension.
Prof. Moreau is a leading researcher in the field of cirrhosis and was among the founding members of the EASL-Chronic Liver Failure (CLIF) Consortium in 2009. Dedicated to advancing research on cirrhosis, the EASL-CLIF Consortium has now grown to include 90 European Centres.
Prof. Moreau has been a hugely important contributor to the activities of EASL, not least through his work for the Journal of Hepatology, where he served as an Associate Editor from 2010 to 2014, and where he now serves as a Senior Editor.
